A polished, beautiful mobile experience, CSR 2 - Drag Racing Car Games is one of the best-looking games on your phone, period. This evolved drag racing game lets you collect, view, and race some of the coolest cars in the world. CSR Racing 2 was released in 2016. The sequel to Custom Street Racing, CSR 2 featured improved graphics, game modes, and more. In addition to adding lots of features to the base game, CSR 2 also expanded the stable of cars to an even more impressive level, giving you the option to race with just about any car you can think of. CSR 2's gameplay takes place both on and off the track. On the track, you control your car's shifts as it speeds along the race track, managing your engine's RPM and gear ratio so that you accelerate quickly and maintain your speed. Off the track, you purchase new cars, tune your engine, and manage the game's many resources. You can paint your cars, apply vinyls and other visual customizations, and tweak their performance, allowing you to change how your vehicles look and feel while you're racing them. There are a lot of game modes in CSR 2, but all of them revolve around drag racing. You can play through a single-player story, race head-to-head with real online opponents, and enjoy a number of modes that split the difference. These include crew races, where you join a group of up to 30 players and compete in various challenges for rewards, timed events, where you participate in themed races for a chance at exclusive loot, and various offline challenges that you can farm for parts, cash, and more. CSR 2 looks really, really good for a mobile game. The game's developers have done an amazing job of making the cars look and feel realistic, with incredible reflections and plenty of detail. Part of the reason for this is the lack of non-car, non-racetrack things rendered in the game's 3d engine. In other words, this is a game about cars and going fast, not about watching people walk around in cutscenes. One of the neat things that helps set CSR 2 apart from the first CSR drag racing game is the garage system. In addition to letting you customize your cars, this system allows you to build up multiple garages that you can fill with cool vehicles. You can then wander these garages with the game's 3d camera and do things like pop the hoods on your cars or open the doors. Even if you're not a fan of this kind of gameplay normally, it's a neat experience that really lets you appreciate the care and effort that went into modeling the game's cars. CSR 2 is very much a modern mobile game in terms of its monetization. You're limited in the number of races you can perform each day by a fuel meter, there are a handful of in-game currencies that the game will try to entice you to purchase with real money, and some of the game's cars come from an in-game gambling system. Just like other games, this means that you can spend as much or as little money on CSR 2 as you'd like. If you want the best cars immediately, it'll cost you a good bit of cash from your real-life bank account. If you're willing to space things out, however, and you don't need every car the game has to offer, you can conserve your resources and build a garage of super fast cars for just a few dollars a month. Getting everything in CSR 2 will take time or money. If you're not looking to spend a lot of dough, try to be patient and unlock things over time instead of going all out and getting them immediately.
