Hitman: Sniper is an evolved, polished shooter for mobile phones that gives you plenty of tricks and unique actions from your stationary vantage point with a sniper rifle. While it's not the most complicated game in the world, it makes up for that in breadth, scope, and complexity. Hitman: Sniper Description In the Hitman series of games, players play as the classily dressed Agent 47, a legendary assassin who's tasked with slaying a slew of targets for profit. Agent 47 uses his skills as a hitman to distract targets, hide bodies, and carry out creative assassinations with both high-tech, purpose-built weapons and all sorts of unusual things he finds in his environment. The games are about stealth, control, and patience, and you're greatly rewarded for taking the time to learn enemies' behavior patterns and exploit their vulnerabilities to remain undetected and minimize collateral damage. Hitman: Sniper is a mobile spinoff, allowing you to play as Agent 47 in a simple gallery shooter with much of the gameplay elements of the main games. Unlike the other games, however, Hitman: Sniper doesn't let you move. Instead, you perch above a series of fancy houses in Montenegro, looking down the scope of one of several unlockable sniper rifles. Your goal is similar: eliminate certain targets in certain ways to clear the mission. While you can't do much other than shoot, Hitman: Sniper does a great job of capturing the feel of the other games. You can shoot control panels, environmental hazards, and other doodads to affect the environment remotely, purposefully miss to cause distractions, and learn enemy patterns to find the best times and places to shoot your targets. Much of the nuance in the game involves taking out your targets without alerting the surrounding guests, meaning you'll have to be patient and exploit every tool in your arsenal to accomplish your missions. A number of secondary 0bjectives helps add a bit of extra challenge. These objectives often involve killing your target in a certain way, within a time limit, or both. These help spice up the game's fairly small environment and simple gameplay loop and give you plenty of interesting options to consider. As you play through the game, you'll unlock abilities that let you slow time, highlight enemies on screen, and more. You'll also unlock a slew of different sniper rifles that will enable you to express yourself a little bit more and tailor the game to your playstyle. These unlocks help stretch out the game and give you plenty of goodies to work towards as you assassinate your targets. Hitman: Sniper is simple, fun, and engaging. It's not the most complex game, but the mobile controls are crisp and intuitive. The design constraints seem to have made a game that's even more fun than something built without limits, as the creative things you'll be able to achieve with your sniper rifle are honestly more fun than the stunts you can pull off in many third person shoters. This probably isn't a game you'll spend hundreds of hours on, but for its fairly low cost, it's definitely worth picking up.
